The story of Brassanod
It began with our
grandfathers' hands
Long before Brassanod had a name, it had a smell — the warm, metallic scent of a workshop deep in the medina of Marrakech, where our grandfathers spent their days shaping jewellery from raw brass and silver. As children, we sat at their feet and watched their fingers transform cold metal into something living. We didn't know it then, but that workshop was our first classroom.
Growing up surrounded by artisans, craftsmanship wasn't a career choice — it was an inheritance. The patience, the precision, the pride in a piece finished entirely by hand: these were values passed down not in words, but in gestures. In the sound of a hammer. In the way our grandfathers held a piece up to the light to check the line before calling it done.
When we eventually asked ourselves what we wanted to create, the answer came naturally: something that carried that same spirit — honest, handmade, and built to last.

Brassanod was founded in 2019 with a clear vision: to bring the ancient craft of brass-making into the contemporary home. Our atelier is nestled in Marrakech, a city whose very architecture breathes artisanal tradition — where geometric patterns, warm terracotta, and the glint of hand-polished metal have defined beauty for centuries.
We chose brass deliberately. It is not a trend — it is a material with a soul. It ages beautifully, carries light in a way no synthetic ever could, and every imperfection in its surface is a signature of the human hand that shaped it. Our collection of home décor pieces is entirely handmade, each object passing through the hands of skilled artisans who, like our grandfathers before them, know that real craft cannot be rushed.
From delicate candle holders to sculptural decorative objects, every Brassanod piece begins as raw brass and ends as something you'll keep for decades — and perhaps pass on yourself.
